Investment property can be put into a self-directed IRA

Q I recently changed jobs and would like to roll over my 401(k) (approximately $100,000) into a traditional IRA. How can I then use the funds as a down payment on an apartment building and hold that building as an asset in my IRA? I am 50 years old. I have heard this can be done.

Fresno Buyers Making Lower Offers in 2006!

I see many sellers hanging on to price/values they remember from last summer. There are many more homes on the market now and Fresno prices have come down a bit, but I see many homes on the market that are just "overpriced" in the Fresno market today. I see the market as still very active too for sales (if they are priced right). I 'm working with several buyers and they are buying, but they are offering less than asking rather than full price or higher. If the home is perceived to be priced too high, the buyers tend to walk away to the next available listing that is priced better and they will negotiate on that one. Bottom line is this, "you better be serious about selling" if your home is on the market in 2006. This is not a market for "fishing" for that top dollar.

Realty Websites Reduce Visitors to Open Houses!

Over the past several years I've noticed one thing about the traditional "OPEN HOUSE" on sundays. Buyers seldom see settlement charges upfront

It's the No. 1 complaint that realty agents make about the home mortgage lending process. And it bugs their home buyer clients as well: the failure of settlement or escrow officials to provide a copy of the final settlement sheet in advance of closing.
